Promotional – Charitable

Flora Denton is retired from VMPC Resources after serving as Vice President.  She is battling terminal cancer and using her time to promote her charitable interests and distribution of her book.

Flora is available for speaking engagements, book signing events and serves as an advisor to parties wanting to begin new or promote existing charities.  Flora continues to serve as a mentor and is happy to consider additional mentoring opportunities to fellow cancer patients or people who are at a crossroads and need some guidance.  She serves on the Siteman Cancer Center, Barnes Hospital/Washington University – Patient and Advisory Council (PFAC) and is a former board member of the SEMO Family Violence Council.

With the support of her husband, Royce Vessell and VMPC Resources she serves as the organizer of Sister’s, oversees the operation of the My Sister’s Place and chairs the board of My Sister’s Place Too.  More information can be found on these projects by visiting

Flora’s book – The “C” Word – My Cancer Journey – is available for purchase at My Sister’s Place in Bonne Terre, MO, and  If you would like a signed copy – send an email with your inscription request and a signed copy will be mailed per your directions.  All proceeds from the sale of this book go towards My Sister’s Place Too – a 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable organization.
